Paula, unfortunately, I only
Paula, unfortunately, I only specialize in websites, not charity organizations themselves. You'll probably have to contact a lawyer for information on this.
Most likely, you'll need to define:
- what your organization will be doing
- what the money will be spent on
- who are the potential sponsors
then you'll need to get acting, including legally registering your non-profit organization.
Read more about creating a charity.
What concerns a website, you'll need to do the basics I outlined earlier first. Then you can create a focused page, listing who needs your help, what you are doing and a clear and easy way to donate to your charity.
Most likely, running an online journal (a blog) to report your successes, share stories, post useful information on the topic might help getting you noticed.
But as with everything, I'd suggest:
- understanding if you really want to create a charity
- remembering that it'll take plenty of efforts and time to get started and operating
- evaluating a better method of getting a way to cure yourself (maybe physiotherapy or an operation is in order instead of taking the meds - consult a doctor or two about this, of course)
Cheers.
