What's going on at Improve the Web

If you are a loyal reader, you may be wondering what's been going on with the site lately. A couple of things, to put it mildly.

First of all, I got Dugg heavily. The article in question is this.

Secondly, the host disabled the site on reaching 50 Apache connections, whatever that means, so the site wasn't accessible for a while.

Thirdly, upon re-enabling the site, the site had some sessions.myi file missing and the hosting couldn't fix it, so I had to look at it myself.

I ended up cleaning the databases on my server and by mistake deleted the database the site was running - there were no backups neither here (bad mistake) nor on the hosting (deleted on database erasure).

So, I am now building now the site from Google cache.

So, if you are a repeat visitor, you can very well re-read the 30 full posts you should have in your reader.

If you are a new visitor, feel free to read the article above and bookmark the site.

I should be putting the site up shortly.

Thank you for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.

Yuri
